There were 109 kit requests and 17 submissions. This represents a 16% submission rate. While it may seem low, you have to realize that modelling a multi-dimensional problem is hard. Self-reported times to do the challenge ranged from 23 minutes to 14 hours, with an average of just under 5 hours.
